Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed in any recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration (10+2+3 years pattern) in any discipline with Mathematics or Business Mathematics at +2 level (or) who have passed in any recognized Bachelor’s degree (with Mathematics / Statistics* as any one of the subjects) of minimum 3 years (10 + 2 + 3 pattern) duration may apply for TANCET 2009.
* Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, Algorithm and Numerical Methods, Numerical and Statistical Methods, Probability and Statistics, Probability Mathematics, Numerical Methods,Algebra and Probability Mathematics, Quantitative Techniques, Computer Oriented Numerical Methods, Engineering Mathematics, Mathematics for Management, Operations Research,Discrete Mathematics, Computational Methods, Bio-Statistics, Allied Mathematics, Allied Basic Mathematics, Algebra-Analytical Geometry of three dimensions and Trigonometry, Business Statistics and Operation Research, Quantitative Methods of Business |

| Candidates who have passed the above qualifying degree course or are appearing for the final semester/year examination of the eligible qualifying degree course during April/May 2009 may also apply for TANCET 2009. |

Exam Pattern:
The Duration of the test is 2 Hours.The Question Paper will be designed to test the capability of the candidates in the following areas: |

(i) Quantitative Ability
(ii) Analytical reasoning
(iii) Logical reasoning
(iv) Computer awareness |

| A few questions may also be there on verbal activity, basic science etc. The question paper will have 100 objective type questions. Each question will have four alternate answers. |

| Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Multiple shadings will be considered as wrong answer and 1/4 mark will be deducted. Marks will not be deducted for the questions left unanswered. |

Application and Test Fee :
Application Form is common for all the three entrance tests. Candidates have to submit only one application. The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC / ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate) as entrance test fee for any one of the Programmes either (1) M.B.A. or (2) M.C.A. or (3) M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. |

| If a candidate desires to appear for more than one programme, for every additional programme, he / she has to pay Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) along with the filled-in application. |

REGISTRATION FOR THE ENTRANCE TEST
(1) SPOT REGISTRATION:Hall Tickets will be issued to the candidates who come in person to the following Co-ordinating Centres with cash or D.D. for the required amount towards Entrance Test fee and a copy of 10th Std. Mark Sheet.

The Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University Chennai, payable at Chennai, obtained from any Nationalized bank on or after 29.03.2009. |
